Laser
This little device is a class II diagnostic laser. It is a significant machine as it provides a digital and audible result when the biting surface of a tooth is scanned for decay. This means improvements in diagnosis for early decay which is very important in preventative techniques. It is non-invasive, unlike drilling, and totally painless. Its use is mainly for children and they seem very happy with it.

Intra-Oral Camera

Using the cameraThis isn't so new now, but most people are fascinated by it. The camera provides a digital image of your mouth or tooth. This image can be used for demonstration, can be altered using a graphics program to show before and after pictures, or just to capture pictures of treatment as we proceed with it. The computer system that is used with the camera also has a software library to show techniques or illustrate past examples.
